What this platform is

uTest is a community of people who test products before release. The tasks are more technical than ordinary surveys: walk through a scenario in an app, find a bug, describe it so a developer can reproduce it.

It suits people who enjoy digging into interfaces and do not mind writing in detail. Development experience is not required, attention to detail is.

How participation works

Register and fill in your profile: devices, operating systems, languages, experience.

An invitation to a specific test cycle arrives when your profile matches the requirements.

You run the scenario and file your findings in the platform format. The quality of the description directly affects the payout.

How it pays

Payment per completed cycle or per accepted finding, depending on the task type.

Payouts go through the platform payment systems. Check the exact method and threshold in your own account: terms change.

What to watch out for

The first tasks are usually simple and low paid — that is the normal way to build reputation.

A poorly described bug can be rejected, and then it is not paid.

We show which cycles are open, but participation and payment stay between you and uTest.

We do not run these studies and do not transfer rewards. Participation and payment stay between you and the platform.
