Paid research for Ukraine
Which platforms accept participants from Ukraine per their official lists, how to get paid, which language you need and how to declare the income.
What is open to residents of Ukraine today
Our own data, as of 18 October 2026
- 9studies that explicitly accept this country
- 10new studies for this country in the last 30 days
- 690studies that do not state a country
The first number counts studies whose requirements include this country or the whole world. The second counts studies where the platform did not state a country in its published requirements: whether they accept residents comes out in its screener. The platform running the study pays you; LazyBounty never holds the money.
What is available
You can take part in paid research from Ukraine, but not on every platform, which is why a country filter saves time: the free LazyBounty feed shows only the open Respondent and uTest studies that do not exclude Ukraine. Prolific, User Interviews and Askable have closed country lists, and Ukraine is not on them (checked on 11 September 2026). Prolific decides by country of residence, so Ukrainians living in Poland or Germany can join, while people in Ukraine cannot.
With no country restriction there are UserTesting, which accepts contributors from around the world, Userlytics, which only needs PayPal to work in your country, and PlaytestCloud, which you can join from any country, although there are fewer invitations outside the USA, the UK and Canada. uTest publishes no list of excluded countries, and Clickworker temporarily switches off registration for some countries.
Among the platforms our catalogue tracks directly, the most accessible from Ukraine is uTest: the catalogue has its open studies available from Ukraine, and payouts work through PayPal and Payoneer.
Even on open platforms, some studies look for people from specific countries. So it is normal that only a few of many open studies fit you. That is not about you personally but about a particular client’s conditions.
How the money arrives
The main method is a personal PayPal account. PayPal currently charges Ukrainian accounts nothing for receiving payments or withdrawing to a card without currency conversion. The arrangement is temporary: the official fee table says it applies up to and including 30 September 2026, until further notice, and PayPal may change the terms at any time.
Payoneer is accepted by uTest (from $2 per period) and Clickworker (from 20 euros or dollars). The direct Wise bank transfer uTest offers is not available for Ukraine. Since May 2025 Respondent has been moving payouts from PayPal to Tremendous gift cards, whose selection depends on the country, so check it before taking part.
Platforms withhold no tax. For a Ukrainian resident, pay from foreign platforms is foreign income: 18% personal income tax plus a 5% military levy, declared by 1 May of the following year, paid by 1 August, and converted at the NBU rate on the date received.
Which language
Most studies are in English. UserTesting requires fluent spoken and written English, French or German. PlaytestCloud requires commentary in English, and Askable works in English only.
Userlytics lets clients write a test in any language, so Ukrainian-language tests are possible in principle, but no platform offers a guaranteed flow of them. Do not overstate your language level: the mismatch will show in the practice test or session.
What to watch out for
Do not get around country limits with a VPN. PlaytestCloud bans location-masking software and closes accounts for it, and payouts still go to an account verified in your name.
Check the country requirement before filling in a screener; it is the most common reason for rejection. And open and verify PayPal before signing up to platforms, not after your first earnings.
